Pizzeria da Giuseppe [Italy, Isola d'Elba]

How can one go to Italy and miss off one of the most famous Italian munchies? Of course Munchasaurus Pi had her dose of Pizza!

The best Italian pizza I'd in Elba - Pizzeria da Giuseppe.

Friendly and cafeteria style home run pizzeria, with proper Italian style, thin wafer base pizzas with so much filling, no plain edges and freshly made. You can even speak to Giuseppe yourself and he's really nice too ;)

The restaurant is clean and simple, nothing fancy and the atmosphere is very casual so you feel okay about getting your hands dirty :P

Prices are great too, 6-8 Euros for a great size pizza, even though it's a thin base I still struggled to finish it. They have a wide selection of pizza varieties or for 8 euros, you can 'make your own' with 4 toppings. My favourite is called 'Francesco' - named after his grandson, quite sweet isn't it?

Overload amount of fillings, you can't find any plain white edges but you still get the crispy edge somehow - you can tell they're not stingy for sure!

The whole restaurant is decorated with Coca Cola signs and decorations, Giuseppe must love coke so much, and yes, they serve Coca Cola and not Pepsi.

My initial thought was: Shame the mushroom aren't fresh. But a second thought: Fresh mushroom on a pizza is normally quite dry, whereas this is still soft and juicy - maybe that is the reason?
