Worth the queue to go up, but not sure about the going down bit (it looked even more busy than way up...), we brought a return ticket but as we already have plans to meet a friend up, we would be sooo late if we were to queue. There were 2 other options; taxi or bus, logic tells me taxi, but looking at the queue - long and without a slight of a taxi neither. We decided to go with the bus, not that I know which bus to take nor where I should stop lol. Anyway, with a bit of luck (and my skill of following the crowd) we managed to get off at a tube station to finally get to my friend for our dinner.
We decided to go to Watami 和民, it's a very common Japanese food chain in East Asia, used to be one of my 'go-to' place during long summer holidays in Hong Kong.
We ordered a bit of everything to share. The ramen was okay, nothing special tho.. Sushi wise, scollops was good, but would be nicer if they were a bit more generous on the fish side.
Sashimi boat; can never go wrong as long as the seafood is fresh, which it is.
One of my favourite dishes in in Watami. Chargrilled whole squid, not much can go wrong, but it's hard to find places that'll offer that.
Takoyaki, just wanted to give it a go, didn't expect much and good we didn't cause it ain't the best... The whole thing was a bit too shoggy and too gingery, not quite enough sauces and the tako inside.. were next to invisible.
