The last post on Italy, until next time. I shall return to this amazing place.
One of the restaurant we passed by the first day in Florence was Antico Fattore, it was unfortunately closed then but it looked so good we had to go back - and glad we did too, what a little hidden gem.
There was a short little wait (when I mean little, it was like 5 minutes?), for that, the owner gave us a glass of bubbly to enjoy while we wait, how kind? :D
The decor was like all traditional italy style restaurant, buzzing with locals so the atmosphere were fantastic, you really get to sense the local vibe of the city.
The price wasn't the cheapest of all, but the portions were generous, food was so delicious and the atmosphere made it all value for money.
Ravioli with White Truffle Sauce; this is the first time Munchasaurus Pi had white truffle, I instantly fell in love with the sauce, the truffle taste was so strong and fresh.
Gnocchi with home made pesto - the pesto blew my mind, the freshest, tastiest pesto I have ever tasted! It wasn't very oily and very cream, it is just too good.
Wild Boar stew. the meat was super tender, texture wise it's quite like pork but the taste is a bit different. I normally dislike red wine, but this even compliments the red wine!
I love courgettes but I never knew the flowers is edible too. I saw this deep fried courgette flowers on the menu and I had to try it out. There isn't much taste to the flowers, interesting feeling cause you can taste the texture of the flower petal, to me its a bit like Japanese tempura?
